As I write blog posts I talk a lot about Jesus. Being naive to the fact that there’s a large possibility that not everyone reading this blog knows exactly who Jesus is. So I am about to introduce you to the man that can change you’re life…. If you let Him.
He. Is. Jesus. He is: King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Messiah, Prince of Peace, The Great I AM, Alpha and Omega, Almighty, Bread of Life, Chief Shepherd, Cornerstone, Counselor, Creator, Deliverer, Protector, and the list continues….
We deserve to die and go to hell because WE are SINNERS (sin-an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. A sinner is someone who commits this immoral act.) We are nothing but dirty rags. Imperfect people. Now, you must wonder what us being sinners has anything to do with Jesus..
Jesus is the son of God. God in flesh. He is the Man that LOVED you enough to take your place and be beaten and bruised, pierced at His side, crowned with thorns and nailed both hands and feet to a wooden cross to wash our sins clean.
You see, Heaven is a perfect place. the place where God is. God cannot be with sin because He is perfect, but He loves us enough and wants to live with us for eternity so He did something that shows what true love looks like. He sent Jesus. Jesus is the bridge between us and God. He is our bridge to Heaven… Because of Jesus we can talk directly to God through prayer, we can have a relationship with Him. Because of Jesus, God sees us perfect, but this is only through Jesus.
I say this because you have to ACCEPT Jesus in order to have this relationship and to be able to go to Heaven and spend eternity with Him. This is how…
A- Admit that you are a sinner
B- Believe that Jesus is the Son of God that He came to earth born of a virgin lived a perfect, was crucified, buried and rose again on the third day.
C- Confess your faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
This simple prayer combines it all together. If you are want to have a relationship with Jesus RIGHT NOW, say this prayer and mean it form your heart:
“Dear God, I know that I have done things wrong. I know that I sin against you daily and that this separates me from you. Please forgive me. I believe that you sent Jesus to this earth, to die on the cross and then to be resurrected from the dead 3 days later. You did all this for me, because you love me and because You want to spend all of eternity with me. I want to give you my life and start a relationship with you this day. As of right now I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I know that as a human I will never be perfect but I want to live a life to glorify you. In Jesus’ name, Amen
If you said this prayer from your heart and meant it today is your spiritual birthday! I want to welcome you to the family of Christ. You have now gained a huge family of brothers and sisters in Christ.
If you prayed this simple yet powerful prayer from your heart, honestly and with faith, you are now a son of God (John 1:12) a new creation with the guarantee that you will spend eternity in Heaven…..
I urge you to find a local church and get involved, buy a Bible and get to know God way more!
